Welcome Kit for Guests of Etymologies of Care Podcast

Welcome to this inquiry on how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. Let's begin.

Thank you for being a guest and partnering in a deeply embodied and integrative inquiry. We designed this welcome kit to help familiarize you with who we are, what we do, and why this podcast matters to us. We're so excited to have you as a guest and can't wait to dive into some real, meaningful conversation together. This guide will help you feel prepared and confident for our recording session.

First, get to know the vision for our podcast.

We want to be transparent about what our podcast offers. This isn't just a podcast about language or mental health. Our goal is for this podcast to be - in its own way - a process and conversation designed for healing and cultural transformation.

Given our podcast goals and the topic we want to explore together, please help us get to know you better by sharing some information and materials about yourself. Use the checklist below to guide your share.

Next, send us over a few things we need.

Start Thinking About Your Story

Since you know our podcast vision, here are three questions to reflect on as you prepare. There are no "right" answers - we just want to hear your authentic thoughts. These aren't questions you need to have perfect answers to - they're just starting points for reflection. The goal is to get you thinking about how these themes show up in your own experience and story.

Get ready to record on Riverside.FM

Our conversation will include video, but Etymologies of Care is an audio only podcast. We choose to record a video so that we can see and be present with each other, which is an important part of our connection. Be advised that we will be on screen for our recording, but we will not use the video footage.

Never used Riverside.FM before? Don't worry, it's pretty straightforward! Here are some tips to make sure we get great audio quality:

Let’s meet and co-create

We'll schedule a conversation before we hit record - think of it as a coffee chat where we start collaborating on what we really want to explore together. This isn't a pre-interview or rehearsal; it's a chance for us to:

  • Get to know each other a bit

  • Talk through the topic we want to dive into for your episode

  • Make sure we're both excited about the direction we're heading

  • Address any questions or nerves you might have

The best episodes happen when we're both genuinely curious about where our conversation will go, so this prep call is really about finding that sweet spot of intention without over-planning.

Now we’re ready! Let’s do it!

Now that we’ve taken all of the action steps to prepare for a great episode, let’s record! Please schedule a 45-minute window when we will both log in to Riverside.FM and record the episode. Please book the recording based on our discussion in the pre-recording meeting.

Remember, you were invited because you have something valuable to share. Trust that. We're not looking for perfection - we're looking for real conversation about things that matter. The goal is to create something together that serves people who need to hear exactly what you have to offer.

If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to make this as comfortable and meaningful as possible for you. Looking forward to our conversation!
