Center for Integrative Relational Health presents
ways of knowing book club
The Ways of Knowing Book Club is an ongoing listening-and-reflection community built around Paul Lichtenberg's Ways of Knowing, an audiobook that invites practitioners, educators, and community builders to examine the assumptions beneath their work and expand their understanding of human connection, care, and change.
This 4-session, non-traditional book club is a space for people already engaged in relational work to slow down, think alongside others, and return to their practice with sharper questions and deeper insights. No prior familiarity with IRH frameworks is required. Your curiosity is the only prerequisite.
Listen together. Think together. Practice differently.
What to Expect
Each session focuses on a specific section of the audiobook, with a short listening excerpt shared in advance so you arrive ready to reflect
Guided listening of Ways of Knowing across a series of sessions
Facilitated discussion rooted in reflection and practice
Conversations are guided by IRH-trained facilitators who help your group move from what you heard to what it means for the work you're already doing.
Each cohort brings together practitioners from different fields (clinical, educational, organizational & community), creating the kind of cross-disciplinary dialogue the book itself calls for.
A small, intentional community of peers across disciplines
Sessions are held online, making it possible to participate from wherever you practice. All you need is the willingness to listen carefully and think out loud.
